Ha thats exactly what happen. There was a doe off across field about 200 yards out and he went up checking her out. She bolted away from him and started coming toward me and by the time got to shooting distance it was already to dark.

Told my work I'm taking an extra day of rutcation next week. This weekend is going to be terrible weather and so is Monday so I feel I deserved another day. Not waiting all year only to have the weather ruin it.

Just recieved some great news on my uncle who owns the land I hunt.

Been a struggling point for me. I'm out there hunting and enjoying it while uncertainty was lingering. Heading into my vacation this takes a tremendous load off the back of my mind thoughts.

Was great seeing him out there opening day this year, and only hoping he is able to get back out again sometime this season.

    Most unselfish man I know.

Similar happened to me a couple years ago. Took my vacation and hunted one day, was coold and foggy that morning, had a decent 8 do the script early. Later it warmed and seen a dam leopard frog hopping through the field at the base of my stand. Climbed down, watched a few turtles sunning on logs drop into the pond on my way to the truck. Drove back to work and asked to come back the rest of the week amd take it the following week.

Was forecast to be near 80 all week, as I worked Tuesday through Thursday that fog stayed around all week, temp never left the 50's and I was stuck at work.

    Crazy is the weather
