Yea its not bad where I'm sitting. Always gotta be scanning open field tho, I've had them almost pop out from being focused on one area then turn and one is 20 yards away.

Yep!! Good luck if we both kill a buck it would mean we were definitely in the same stand.

Was at full draw on a big 10 and he took 2 steps. No shot. Tree covered the vitals. Frustrated beyond words and he was18 yards. Hoping he circles back but I doubt it.

I80 is flat through Iowa and most of Illinois as well... get a few areas of bluffs in Iowa, that’s about it..

Moved from my normal stand location to the other side of the swamp. Buck I am after is coming from this direction and gets to my normal spot after dark. Hoping to catch him on his way in this afternoon.[IMG]

cantex, did you tag it still? I'm heading out in the am. I'm very anxious to see if I get a glimpse of a giant I found in the area I'm heading to. but if a doe comes in she's going down!

The third buck I saw today came right under the stand. First day of vacation was a blast.

Great night. Saw 3 different bucks and a pile of does. Nothing big enough to shoot but at least they’re starting to move.

    3 more days.

Have some lighted nock bolts on the way. Not going to improve anything by any means, just want to be able to see my impact site.

Going to take a pic of the vine Friday, taking at least one lonewolf. Haven't had a set up idea like this since my first ambush stand back in '11 and it worked flawlessy on my big 9. Have one other site in mind, either hang a 2nd set or if the vines turns out to be a bad thing I'll hang one there and let movement dictate a second site.

I need to buy my own land so I can hunt specific bucks and not let the rut dictate my hunts.

2 more days and it is November 1st.

The next 2 weeks are going to be magic in the making. Guessing we'll hit 350 pages by the end of my vacation on the 13th.
