One of my friends shot what he thinks is a 140" at 12:30pm in Illinois. Said the buck was on the hunt for does hard. He actually had to yell to get him to stop.
Rain an sleet just quit and there's nothing more on the radar. Hopefully they'll move now Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Got called to work for a bit but back at it. Only saw two this morning after Sun up. One looked like a doe but could not be sure. Body shape was right but have too many small bucks around to take a chance. Three point came by at 1030 and was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Warmed up into the mid 70s. Hope they move this evening. Good luck to those who are lucky enough to be hunting this afternoon.
I bet your busy this time of year with your job. Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Bittersweet experience for me today. This morning, I recovered the buck that I shot on Saturday. Its a long story that I will probably post a thread about in the Bowhunting Talk forum later. Unfortunately, the vultures and coyotes beat me to him. All came away with was the antlers. I hate that I didn't get the meat.
Got home in time to hit the woods. Lucky for me the shop we meet up for work every morning and the place I hunt is that same location. Did s quick change of cloths and headed out. Only thing forgot was boots, so hopefully concrete attracts deer ha. See what happens Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
This is insane. Soon as the rain and sleet stopped, the wind is probably blowing at about 50mph. I guess I'll just sit here till dark, I've got nothing to lose. Wait a minute, I thought I just saw Dorothy and toto blow by! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
