60 MPH gusts are pretty rough. Be careful if you decide to try it. I don't think I would , but that is me.

I feel your pain... I’m live from the cab of a locomotive. In Laharpe now then headed back to Keokuk, only by the time I get back it will be dark.. I won’t get back out till this weekend unless I somehow end up with a day off midweek...

Just a local shortline. We service a syrup factory in Keokuk iowa, not sure if you ever made it over there when you were here hunting, we also run a train out of Peoria Illinois and meet in Laharpe Illinois, which is not too far from where you hunted, and we service a couple of corn elevators in between.

As for a picture best I can do right now is inside the cab..

Remind to take pictures off all the trees down around one of my stands the next time I hunt it... makes me nervous every time there is a stiff breeze..

I'm in an enormous spruce so I feel pretty safe even if I am close to 30'

1509391578534.jpg Well the good news is that I saw 3 deer the bad that they were already at my stand as i Was coming in. Didn't think they would be moving at 3. Now there somewhere in the goldenrod behind me the same way the wind is blowing

I love seeing all the different terrain and different set ups everyone hunts over. Keeps me going on my 24 until I can get back out tomorrow afternoon.

Here is my best rendition of the path that Tracker took. It doesn't show the ups and downs but it shows the path that he took, the stand I was in the location of the shot and the place that he ended up.
