Driving to the land now, should be there in about 30 min. Going to hunt a stand that has only been used twice this season. No signal at this stand so won’t be updating. Good luck everyone.
not sure if i'll make it out this evening? might have to carve pumpkins with the kids? way too windy at this point anyways. good luck guys!
Was going to go this morn but when I went out to put wood in the fire I see its super windy.. I hate hunting super windy and my bed was warm. lol
Here we go back at it again rut is starting to heat up here in Indiana. Windy today but hopefully they will still move.
In the ground blind. 40 degrees. No wind. So dark I can't see out of the blind this morning. Had deer in the food plot when I eased in here and they didn't spook good luck to those who are lucky enough to be hunting this morning
Had 2;little bucks come in this morning,. Thought they were going to fight. 4pt and a 3 pt. It's early. Only 0806
Well short morning for me but got it done...........going in to track her and then go to class wish could stay later been a great morning 5 deer one a small buck chasing but still lots of time.
Okay guys and gals went in amd had good blood on arrow and she was dumpimg bucketa of blood and tracked her to where she went down and she had got up again and bleed a bunch. Kept looking and lost blood so im not sure if i am overlooking her or what but backed out for now.
Be patient while tracking. If you lose the blood, take your time and keep searching. Common mistake is to not look on twigs and grass that are up in the air. That was a large part in us finding the buck I shot Friday night. Good Luck!!!
I second this, foodplot has demonstrated superior tracking skills so I would listen to him. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ya definatly i wikk take all the help i can get she ran into the thickest part of our woods. The shot was perfect 10 yard broadside she mule kicked and took off and went about 50 yards and started to stumble. When i got my arrow it had red blood not alot of bubbles looked like heart to me and when she turned the exit was right on the opposite shoulder where it should be.
