Not looking good, what I thought was bubbles was likely dew. Found a few more spots like that and now I'm off blood. Sitting on a log at last blood trying to figure out which way she headed. Replaying everything, only thing I can think of is she was a bit more quartering away then I thought. I should have waited longer to shoot. Got greedy going for the biggest of the 2 does and likely screwed it up. They were a bit on edge but not on alert. Dejection is the worst feeling in the world
Third doe busted me. The leafs are quiet this morning. They are getting less 30 yards before I hear them. Normally, i can hear them coming aways off. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hang in there. You are extremely knowledgeable. I don't have much to offer. Good luck. You've already covered the answers to all the questions I would've asked. Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I've seen two deer so far. One early way out in the field. Had no idea what it was. About 20 minutes ago I did a light rattle/grunt sequence. Five minutes later I glance to my right and there is a small (about 80") buck coming in looking for the action. He worked a scrape at 10 yards, stood on hind legs and worked the licking branch and moved on out. That was pretty cool.
Little 4-point just chased a doe and fawn by me. Hope chases that doe back. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Have any ribbon to mark the trail with? It helped me a bunch last year. Helps you get a very good visual on exactlyvwhere she was traveling. Keep your head up. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Hang in there, that picture you showed is a lot of blood for just a non vital hit, how many yards was that from where you first shot her? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It's still early but I am also a little surprised at the lack of movement. I thought for sure things would be good. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Hunting across the street today. Long tall grass strip in front of me. 100 yard oak ridge leading up to standing corn. Saw a doe 30 yards away early. Half an hour ago heard a grunt. Sounded like a younger buck...2 seconds long. Saw a deer - ended up being a fawn. Had 6 turkeys land in trees around me. Waiting for a "Rose Bowl buck.
Just shot an 8 point. 23 yards quartering away. Went it behing the last rib. And towards the offside shoulder. Going to wait 30 minutes before getting down. Arrow was in him when he ran off. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
