Quarter away helps a bit more than perfectly broadside. Still can catch a lot of liver depending on angle amd placement, could even get lung.

Good luck with track and recovery, when in doubt back out. Flashlight is never brighter than the morning sun.

Well I'm the DD but my friend Jake really wants me stay with him for the night. Might just put off hunting tomorrow morning. This whole ordeal is more important than hunting.

Sounds to me like you're making the right decision. I'll be following your progress from my stand.

Ugh, forgot to find and wash my base layers. Finally found them and they're in the wash now. Just have to wait up to get them in the dryer.

On a brighter nite, one reason I love buying in bulk. Found this little hidden treasure I bought last year or the year before. Hoping they still work. Still half - 3/4 full

Getting a bit confused, your replies to me are to my replies to bullridnfool. He shot a buck tonight as well and I've been asking him questions.

Just want to be sure, so you don't wait it out becuse of one of my comments to someone else.

Family is always first, family isn't always linked through blood.

Good luck when you get back out and take care of what you need to in the meantime.

Well, I dont know where your hunting out of but just checked the weather in clinton, Missouri (seemed west central MO enough) and you couldnt as for better holdover temps, looks like a cold night with no rain. and you saw him bed down. Here's hoping there is a glassy eyed buck in your field tomorrow!

Have to work tomorrow but with temps in the upper 20's at sunrise...I can start my work day a little late tomorrow...

Both guys shot a buck tonight, foodplot thinks it might have been a lung/liver, deer standing mostly broadside.

I just went and reread, I understand now. Although I was asking bull, food was replying to the questions.

Good luck to both with recovery!
