I've been reading post of many people seeing bucks starting to some what chase in the Midwest. I'm leaving on November the 7-12 to hunt public land in southern Illinois. My question is for the people that hunt around the area what do you think about these dates as for rut hunting?
One word, Perfect. Taking my rutcation Nov. 3-12. You can never go wrong with the first 15 days of Novemeber
Ok, all up in the stand waiting on daylight. Clear, frosty, and dead calm. Let's get this party started! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
No worries, wasn't meant to be taking a shot at you. Everyone likes to see big bucks especially when waiting for the rut to start. Another big buck was posted as well. I think it is more the promotion of another site that seemed off. You're a regular contributor, the ones that really get under the skin are the ones who create a new thread "check out my buck" include a link to some 15 minute promotional video with a 45 second hunt. Then either never return or only come back when they have another 12 minute commercial. Nothing more than click bait for hits.
Up in a tree in Western NY. Had a spike come in at daylight and check the scent. Crisp 40 degrees, not much wind. Looks to be a nice morning. Good luck guys! Sent from my XT1710-02 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Felt like fat kid at bakery today with temps low, hard frost, no wind. Only bad thing is the fat kid at the bakery sure was loud to the stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
