Yeah, kinda how I and some others appear to see it.

He helped Shane find his buck not long ago and Shane has been gearing up for self filming. Think it is more of a mentor/admiration type thing than maliciousness.

    Back on topic...

Anxious as I have ever been for Saturday's sunrise to get here. The damn October lull better not happen this weekend when everything is perfect but the date on the calendar

Im excited to hunt the community scrape again.. I sat it Monday night for the 1st time this year and its there again, but it was full of water :bigcry: I may sit it tomorrow evening, if the wind is correct. I think it should be dried out now.

I get nothing out of it. I'm not really even part of his whole facebook shindig anyway. I'm just a buddy, who is happy for a buddy. I don't get anything free or make any money lol. I don't know if he does or doesn't. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers by talking up a guy who was there for me when I needed the help. In the future I will not post or mention any other deer that have been taken outside of the allowed immediate family members.

Look I mean this with some sarcasm, but not in a mean way. It was meant to be an innocent post, as I'm so happy for him. He's a great guy. That is all. No plugs, commercials, marketing conspiracies, etc. Just my friend and his brute of an IL buck.

On a separate note, featured in this hunt is an Excalibur micro series m6 crossbow. This deadly rig played a large part in Richie's success. You can pick one up for yourself at www.excaliburcrossbows.com/prostaffshane

You are completely correct about the mentor thing, and I do understand your point as well. :tu:

Post whatever you like, I never said you couldnt. I just give 2 :) about it. We all have friends that kill big deer and most have people that help them, be it track, drag, advice ect... thats what friends do.

Good luck guys. I feel like a work slave... my time will come though. If I had known the action would be so good I would have scheduled a couple days off around now.

I don’t know where you hunt or what your conditions are there but if It was me I would go for it. If things are heating up they will likely respond. I’ve seen a lot of chasing and heard some fights here in Georgia and that’s what worked for last Saturday so I’d say try it and kill a monster!
