Five Thunder chickens and to Doe's on the opposite side of the food plot from me. At least there were no bears tonight!

Crazy night. 2 different small bucks chasing does for about 1/2 hour. Had nice 8 come in about 7pm pushing doe. Waited about 20 minutes. Could see shadows walk around other side of pond. Thought I was clear so I started to pack up and sent my bow to ground. Started down stand, made a little racket, sticks are connected all the way up so they creek a little. All of a sudden it sounded like a train coming through woods. A deer ran to the base of my tree and stopped. I was only 6 or 7 feet of ground. I slowly reached into my pocket and got my little flashlight out, point it at the body and turned it on. It was a BIG 8, my #2 on my "hit list". He looked at me, blew and took off. About sh$t my pants. Try again this weekend.

Update: this buck is damn near 300 lbs. I wouldn't be shocked if he cracked that by a few. Pics don't do it much justice at all. [IMG]

Had fun at closing light, 2 bucks and a doe came in to me. Small 8 and a tall 6, think the 8 winded me, but the 6 came right back around when I grunted and came me a great shot at 20 yards. Let em both go, but fun seeing them. 3 hunts on this property and killable deer every time.

Crazy night. 2 does came in under me and browsed around. I was tempted to kill one but I'm leaving the does on my lease since there aren't many. And I found out why that is at least partly. 5 coyotes came busting through the woods and tried taking one of the does down. She was fighting them and I felt helpless bc it was already too dark to shoot anything. I got down after they ran off. Pretty sure they killed her by the sound of it. Sucks. Now I have a new mission. Kill yotes.

I dont get why people post on others ppls behalf.. If they dont contribute to the thread and become friends with everyone here, what difference to this thread does it make what they shot? Nice deer, whoever that is tho... :tu:

Since it has been mentioned, and by no means any hostility on my part. I don't know any of them personally any further than withun this site or BHOD.

I recognize him from earlier BHOD episodes. Shane mentioned he has since left the BHOD crew amd went out on his own. Reasons I don't know and I am sure mods would probably filter or delete anything taking away from BHOD or this site.

Have noticed his site or youtube channel has been plugged a few times. Took it as a piggybacking type of promoting it via an established venue.

I see no harm on it if Justin doesn't seem to, but I don't know any circumstances involved.

Again, no insinuations in any regard. Just something that struck me odd with the lost buck initially posted about. Seemed a bit off and more of a way to get another site some hits.

I just dont see the point. If one of you post "hey check out this deer my wife/kid (whatever), shot".. Awesome!! I will gladly like that! But posting for another person other than that? I just dont get it unless its just a plug. I care less either way, I was just saying.
