    The deer tend to move on this part of the property in the wind so I’m hoping for a good night, it’s very windy and about 73 our, supposed to get a front through tonight

    Update from Richie this morning: He didn't find his buck, hit him high in no mans land. Very unfortunate, and I think that I am as disappointed as he is.

    I want to so bad, but i’m a broke college student, LOL!! It would be harder for me to get away from school for a couple days too.....

    We all understand that brother. Besides, the extended weather forecast is looking pretty grim - rain the first four days we're there. It may be more but that's as far out as the forecast goes right now. Here's hoping that changes.

    Whenever anyone gets antsy about the rut and thinks they are missing something on Oct 24 because they aren't seeing deer, remember this, we have several weeks of the good stuff starting right now! Optimism. The match has just been lit.

    Back in a stand about an hour ago. 1.5 hours left. Moved stands because stiff N wind was not good for the other. Rolling the dice. Clear windy and 70 deg. [​IMG]

    Just had a little 6pt come within 30yds of us in the brush. He decided to go the other direction but it's good to actually see a deer...looks like they're moving this evening!
