I hear ya. Up until this weekend all thr good cool days were when I was at work, warmed up 40 degrees both day and night for my days off. Kept me out of the woods, which may be a blessing in disguise. No more than 7 work days left until my vacation. One thing I can promise, whatever I do put down will happen within the confines of this thread.

Someone get Swamp a darn average to above average place to hunt! Hook the brother up! The BOY JUST WANTS A FAIR SHOT, THAT IS WHAT THE BOY WANTS. GIVE HIM A SHOT!
I have a small wood lot behind my house. I put a trail cam out there. The middle two weeks of Oct...0 pics. The last five days I've had a small 4 point day walker and a couple other 2 year olds cruising at night. Every day there were 2 to 3 bucks on cam the past 5 days. It is a good 10 days from happening around here. We aren't loaded with big bucks and they have plenty of does to choose from....meaning the rut is below average most years in terms of intensity.

Should I go with 20 mph wind or sit on the couch and wonder what would have possibly happened? Decisions, decisions. Gotta finish up work first regardless. Stupid work.
Back in the woods. Winds are high and gusting. Chose the ground blind because the trees are rocking down this way. Good luck to those who are lucky enough to be hunting this evening.
That's crazy. I wish I owned the land that I hunt on, I'd put you in a stand without hesitation. I've heard stories hunting was like that here 30 years ago, I just couldn't imagine it. You definitely have the will and determination unmatched by anyone here.
lol thanks! I grew up hunting in these conditions, so it's all I know. It makes any encounter so much sweeter. I almost had a heart attack my first few hours hunting in Illinois! I saw more bucks the first two hours, than my whole life hunting in CT. I have a good feeling about this upcoming weekend!
Well out in the wind storm ..why? Im not sure...just couldnt help myself & not going to see anything from the couch! Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
