So the ground idea along the river bit the dust. When I went to park there was already someone else there, walking in with their bow. Hence I am in my climber.

Been settled in for about 30 min or so. Using the climber didn't go as smooth as planned lol. Farmer has cut the beans in the last 2 days but now has already disc the field under. He's actually out here now still discing but nowhere close to me. This is the first time in 7 years I've waited this late to hunt this farm. Good luck boys!
Alright, he’s all cleaned and in the cooler. I’m gonna give the story because it was a awesome hunt. I had to work security at the county fair last night till 1:30 and was irritated because I wanted to hunt this morning. Anyway I decided to sleep in and hunt mid day hunt. I got to the stand at 11:00 a.m. and got set up, about to sweat to death. I rattled right after I got up with no results. Not to long after that, I heard a deer blowing on my upwind side. After about an hour a decided to rattle again and really beat the horns together. I waited about ten minutes and did some grunting. Maybe three minutes went by and I heard what I thought was a deer running. I stood up and looked to my left and saw a tree in the brush shaking and could see a deer. I thought maybe it was a small yearling buck but then saw him move his head and could tell he had something funky going on with his rack. He started making his way out of the brush so I drew back and of course he stopped. I waited probably 45 seconds at full draw till he moved on out and stopped in a small opening. I let the arrow fly and smacked him and as he ran off I could see I didn’t get a pass through. It was 12:35 when I took the shot so I waited for a bit and then got down and took my gear back to the truck. When I tracked him I found him about 75 yards away and the arrow was laying about 5 feet from him. Not the biggest set of horns but I am super glad to get him. Thanks for all the congratulations and I hope all of you get one soon. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
