I've been in the stand since 3:45 and haven't seen a thing. Hopefully they start moving Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Only out for a few hours, No harvest today. Heard a panther within a few hundred yards for the first time which was exciting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should have went out tonight but I worked might try to sneak out tomorrow night, we’ll see how productive I am tomorrow at work. It will be nice to “sleep in” but if I would happen to wake up I might go out for a quick sit lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well ive been following this thread for about 40 pages now. My father passed away july 30, he was my best friend and favorite huntin partner. After the last 21 years we talked after every hunt disscussing what we seen an what not. My other huntin buddy works 2nd shift so most of the time hes not around for me to discuss my evenings events. My wife, well she could care less if i seen 1 or 1000 as long as she has meat. Haha...This feels like my next best option to jus tell someone anyone how my days hunt went... seen 6 this evening. 4 does none close enough for a shot. Lil spike or 4 pt couldnt really tell. And an 8pt with the darkest antlers ive ever seen on a deer. I honestly couldnt see his antlers with a naked eye was that dark an jus blended in with surroundings and that was at 36yds.. any how sorry for the ramble. Good luck-shoot strait.

Wow! Your post and your screen name bring back memories. While I lost my Dad in 1989, it was just a few years ago that I lost a really good friend of mine named Dave Lorenzo and he was originally from Baltimore, Maryland. That dude had absolutely no filter between his brain and his mouth and it almost got us into a few fights over the years. Still, he was one of the best friends I ever had. Not surprisingly he didn't really fit in around these parts of west Tennessee, but I'm glad he moved here and I was glad to have known him. I really miss that "damned yankee". I'm truly sorry for your loss and I know exactly what you're feeling. To my knowledge my Dad never did tag a deer. He really didn't have the first clue how to hunt deer, but his excitement for our annual deer hunt was infectious and it instilled a love for the hunt in my brothers and I that endures to this day. One of my brothers has passed on since then, but in just under two weeks my oldest brother and I will be making the trip back to the same spot on public land in Missouri that our Dad used to take us to. I look forward to seeing the old woods again and revisiting the old campsites that we used to use. There are still old stone fire rings that my Dad built at those spots. I love just sitting there for a while and remembering what it used to be like. Back in the day it was amazing if we even saw a deer. Heck, we would be excited when we saw deer tracks. Now there are Boone and Crocket bucks in the area. Well, I've blathered on enough on the "live from the stand" thread. Again, I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you the best of luck this season!
Of course. No problem at all, although it's about time for me to hit the rack since I have to wake up at 5:00 am every day. If I don't see your PM tonight I'll see it in the morning.
