Just had two adult does come in. They were passing about 20yds in front of me. The second one looked to be a tad bigger, so when she got in my opening I made a little sound and she stopped right where I needed her to stop. I released and sailed it right over her back. They jumped at the sound and looked around for a little bit then went back to feeding. As a matter of fact, they fed almost to the base of my tree. They were so close I couldn't get another arrow loaded. They stuck around for another 20 minutes and then left. I don't know how I blew that one. It was a chip shot. Dang squirrel is cutting hedge apples loose, letting them fall to the ground. Maybe I should try hunting that way.
