Forky read the script this morning came in and offered me no less than 3 perfect shots. Now let's see if his Gramps will play along. It's so wet here you can't hear the deer coming in. Got lucky and saw the fork horn cross the creek.

Well nothing happening here. Yesterday temp was 87 and right now it’s 51 with a hi of 60. I thought it would have them moving with such a big drop but I guess not. Thinking I might just sit all day.

No hunting for me today, temps are high, wind is wrong and gusting, plus it's family day. Good luck to everyone out there today, stay safe, and aim small.

3 for 3 on having does within bow range on each sit in VA/MD, but already have meat in freezer so waiting on a mature buck or chippy on a large doe. Feeling good and confident this upcoming cold front can get the bucks on their feet. Hunt Hard guys and be patient

32 degrees this morning and 10mph wind. For the first time this year I was winded by a doe and a little buck. Not sure if it was my pack boots or coffee breath, but it was not a good feeling to call in a buck who came running towards me and stopped 30 yards UPWIND and sniffed like crazy. He didn’t see me but turned around and slowly went the other way. At least the doe was downwind when she caught my scent. Had two other hunters in the parking area today for the first time. I’ll try to get out again tonight... can’t be any worse than this morning

The next 3 mornings in VA should produce a flurry of action. Especially Tues and Wed. 20 degree temp drops in like 36 hrs. Upper 30s in the morning with wind.
