    Opening day. 72deg with east wind not the best conditions but it fell good to be back in the stand. Only about 200yds from my house sitting on the edge of hardwoods and thick bedding cover. Good luck guys.

    Just had a doe go by at 40 yards, couldn't get a shot she was moving pretty good

    Just had a nice 8pt come through following a doe. I guessed 3.5 yrs and land owner rules are 4.5 or better. Maybe next year

    Not much to report, had to walk back to truck to get TP, other than that it’s quiet. I want going to hunt this stand today but something in my head convinced me too, so we’ll see what happens.
    About an hour ago it sounded a like a hen yelping and had every dog in the county going nuts.

    Waiting in the stand for enough light to see much less take a pic. That sun always seems to struggle getting up.....them boom it’s to hot to hunt. The joys of Texas.

    Just had a good sized doe come in off the bean field. She looked my stand up and down and left. Didn't seem spooked, just a little nervous.
