Is it just me or does anyone else find the sound that squirrels make when they're gnawing on something irritating?
Yes! That and blue jays close by making racket. Can't stand that either. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Can't wait for tomorrow afternoon. Taking my oldest out in hopes that he can get his first deer. I will be sitting in a ground blind hoping for a nice buck to come in. Archery only closes on Sunday here, and it will be a week of upland bird hunting and then the firearms season starts. I have private land to hunt for that, and I can still use the bow. My younger boy just wants to hunt waterfowl this year, so I'm looking for some goose decoys.
Well that sucks it's a clean arrow miss big doe stick walking and fergie right behind her. Don't tell my wife going to town to buy a new arrow rest.
Let it be known, Mother Nature has chosen to end a deers life on my next sit. Today was a very cold and drizzly day compared to what has been lately. High of 55, but I was at work. This Sunday is the one day I could get out, but temps are horrible for am hour drive and morning sit(I may still do it, not sure yet) then it cools down again for my return to work. Then come the weekend temps on the rise yet again. Next time out, if its brown its down, excluding small bucks of course My 10 day forecast, sorry if ginormous
I didn't see a deer, but I had to stay in the tree an extra 20 minutes. Just as it got dark and I was getting my gear together I heard one coming. I stopped and stood still and it milled around and walked almost right under my stand. I stayed in the tree until I was sure it was gone and then sneaked down and out. Sure wish I could have seen if it was a buck or a doe but it was too dark. Ah well, at least it was a little action.
Well tonight’s action was the best I’ve had yet this season, saw roughly 20 deer all with in 40 yards, 2 smaller bucks scrapping together, telling myself I was gonna shoot a doe but kept holding out waiting for big daddy and just before last light had a good size doe directly under neath my tree and tried the straight down shot and missed! Was pretty bummed at first but she only made a small jump and slowly worked her way away from me! Know idea what happened so that was good. Great night of hunting even with the miss, Happens to the best of us! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I guess tomorrow night my buddy and I are going to adjust one stand and hunt it then we will have all the final adjustments made for the rest of the season.
I ended up seeing 7 does. Nothing within range. Had a scare tho. Walked out to my truck and set my bow on the tonneau cover to put my climber away. I was all sweated up and distracted and drove off with my bow on the back of the truck not secured! Pulled over 3 miles down the road and it hadn’t moved.
