    My dad and I will head up to lake of the woods...you MN guys probably know where that is way up north into canada....good walleye fishing there!!

    My dad's buddie has a cabin there it's nice to get away with the guys in the winter

    buddies were just at Red lake a few weeks ago, only 9 northerns, 3 the year before. just been slow all over this yr....

    but ur right LOTW is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up there. i always felt like if i went that far north i'd better catch something cause they havent seen much in the way of bait/artificial etc.

    do yall jig or tip up for the eyes???

    With the cooking, cleaning, laundry, 1 FT job, bartend on the weekends and taking care of me and a 6 year old....she doesn't have enough time to get on here!

    LOL Dont kid your self brother LOTW gets more pressure than you think. Most everyone jigs Waldos up there. Late ice and tip ups for some fat azz pike. 40+" daily 20 + Lbers. Red Lake is a thing of the past Isiah, the tribe and the MN DNR has all but destroyed it again. Damn comercial fishing. There is better places to fish than Red if you get up this way again. Ye get ahold of the ol Teester and Ill show you fish.:D I have this nice little trophy pike lake right around the corner also. We boated a dozen over 40" lasst summer and were only there 11 times.;)

    too bad about Red Lake! damn! i guess where there are fish to be had, anglers will go to any lenghts. i'll for sure look all the MN boys up when i get back up that way. thanks for the invite, likewise if yall decide to hop on 94 E for 6 or 7hrs =-)

    Thanks for the invite!:D A bunch of my buddies fish that lake right after ice out every year for crappies and pull some absolute slabs out of there.


    We had a trip planned to Red last year, and i'm really glad we didn't end up going, it's the dead sea now. A big shame too because that lake held some monsters a few years back.

    I plan on fishing Devils Lake some weekend before ice out, hopefully my dad and I can get into a mess of big perch!

    we only jig up there....LOTW is actually really full of people at times and a lot of times you have got to compete for the hot spots :D
