Well boys and girls. My family and I are headed up to Canada tomorrow afternoon.
I wont be back on for at least a week. Have fun guys and stay safe. If anyone get a chance to get out after some whitetail I hope you have great hunts.. I look forward to checking back in once I get home to the states.

It'll ruin you for deer hunting..... its 100x more fun but you'll never get the adrenaline rush like you do shooting a big buck.

Well just a little update I did see the buck I'm calling tuxedo. Him along with some young bucks and a couple does came out about 75 yards just never closed the distance. Settled in now, where I belive he'll come out in the field but if it is a repeat of last night I may make a move tomorrow. We'll see, I'll keep y'all posted and try to refrain from smacking a doe that gets too close haha

Just pulled my card from my spot. Some activity but not in the last 7 days which worries me a little. But regardless, Ill be in the stand opening day. Im just excited to sit in the woods :)

Also tell me what you think is wrong with this doe? Ive seen growths like this before in other peoples pics but can't remember what they are or what causes them. Just curious and do they affect the meat at all?

Well no luck last night with big boy anyways. I did have these guys come out right at dark and figured I could break the ice and get a little practice from the stand, and do some varmint control. Probably stay out tonight and hit it fresh Tuesday night.

Pretty sure it's called fibromatosis. And I'm also pretty sure they don't really affect the deer health wise. And the meat is still edible.

I'll be up in Maine on a week long bear hunt but once I get back deer season will open up that week :) super excited to get the 2015-2016 hunting season started and I would love to arrow my first ever bear ! Anyways good luck guys I hope to see some points on board soon !

15 yards. That's how far I needed tuxedo to walk before I'd have my hands on him. I moved to the other side of the field I've been hunting and sure enough he comes out 60 yards behind a doe and mozy around a little closer and was on the trail that took him 25 yards in front of me, but for whatever reason they decided to try and go the other way. The wind was perfect and my setup was perfect, I guess it was just one of those days. Were coming into some cooler Temps this week I'll definitely be out if I don't kill him in the next hour from the same spot
. We'll see. Good luck to all are getting to hunt!
