Im 29 and do carpet cleaning for my uncles company. I have been hunting deer and turkeys since the age of 12 but have only bowhunted 3 years. I am still a rookie in all this bowhunting stuff but Im addicted. I kick myself for not getting into it sooner but it takes a lot more time and money for sure. But I love it and will always be a bowhunter.

A big downside this year is that we lost a prime piece of land that we loved to hunt in south western WI due to the owner selling it. That was a huge hit to my season coming up but Im trying to locate more land to hunt. I may be hunting a lot of public this year. But we will carry on and try to continue to learn as I go. Still can't wait for the season to start.

This is my first time doing this deer contest thing. Seems like fun though so I'm pumped.

I'd love to honestly.... but I will be happy with anything over 140" honestly. The deer that is my number one target this year should be a booner for sure but I've yet to lay eyes on him. This doesn't really worry me bc for the past two years I've never seen him in the early season but come Late Oct he shows up and usually winters here. If he shows up this year I have a little something up my sleeve for him, I got access to two properties right on top of his bedroom! Just need him to show up in Oct and let me know he's still alive and pray I don't shoot a 140"+ before then.

I'm a high school student who waits tables to pay for my hunting/target archery addiction. I'm going into my fourth season as a bowhunter and looking to put down my first buck with a bow.

Well had another encounter with tuxedo the big 10 point I have in my bean field honey hole. Seen him late one afternoon, and was also told by my cousin he has been out at that the two nights before. This deer probably scores around 155, and is patterned like a yearling doe haha You gotta love hunting food sources early season. I have two stands set up for opposite wind directions, and it's all systems ago for opening day which is September 5th, TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!!! I am busy in the week with school and work so I won't be able to post too often but I'll definitely be hunting and try to update as often as possible.

I just trimmed out some shooting lanes in my "urban" spot. This is a friends home on four acres surrounded by other similar properties. Hopefully looking to put down a couple does from this location. When we arrived tonight there were two does and three fawns out in a field about 80 yards away. So they are there just waiting on opening day. No bucks on camera from this spot :(

Those small peices can be some good hunting ! On our home property here we own about 4 acres of woods that are huntable ... Seems to be very little to actually no buck activity happening until November rolls around then the Bucks start cruising through looking for them does and actually some very big bucks ! And then also late season i have great luck keeping them around with corn piles which are legal here in Ohio , it's hard to hunt without busting out deer though but you get lucky every now and then!! Hope you have good luck on it this fall .

I'm going to check my cams this Sunday. I really don't expect much as far as bucks go cause we are to far from the food right now.
    But we will see.
We are getting packed up and ready to head to Canada next Friday for my first black bear hunt. Kind of combined a family vacation with my hunt. Hopefully I get a shot at a nice big old boar. Ill let you guys know what happens after I check my trail cams this weekend.
