Looks like everyone has some good deer in their areas. We had a lot of moisture here this late spring and throughout the summer so the food was green and plentiful for the deer around here. I haven't seen a lot of acorns this year though. Not sure if we got too much rain for the oaks to blow up or if it is just going to be a down year for acorns. Anyone else know if too much rain will stunt the amount of acorns oaks will have? I know they cycle every couple of years or so but I have some where I hunt that should be due this year.

We had quite a bit of rain. With a red clover patch I planted, it gave them another food source. As far as acorns, they're not gonna start dropping in our area till October. The amount of rain might have delayed the acorns dropping in your area?

How long do we wait for FroMan? Hopefully he gets in here soon but if he isn't here by the end of the week we are going to have to consider getting a replacement so we don't end up short 1 hunter :(

I've sent him 2 PM's so far... No Response on either of them.

I believe each member gets 2 weeks to post that they are joinging/good to go... So on/around September 1st and he hasn't replied, we will need to find a replacement.

Deer are gonna move earlier. It's still hot here. 86-92 midday. Deer are eating from 4-8pm right now. Then they'll show up between 6am-9am.

I'm so tempted to check my cams tonight... Seeing members here posting their pictures does not make it easier on a guy!

I would give him a couple more days I just wanted to bring it up so we knew our options. He hasn't been logged in since the 12th so maybe he is on vacation or something is up. If he was logged in and still not responding I would be more concerned.

Yeah I dont know. They usually start dropping around the end of September where I hunt. Problem is I haven't seen many on the trees. Usually by now we know which ones are going to produce and which ones aren't. Hopefully they just are late this year.

Low tonight is 49! Still have just over a month and a half until season starts. All I can do is fling arrows and count down the days. Good luck to those who get to start early!

Yeah I'll have to settle for living vicariously through some of you all till season kicks in here. If you are out hunting, feel free to text me. Nothing like texts from the stand!
