Have any of you guys used the 4 finger releases? I have the regular style but was curious if switching would help my accuracy
Never have. Going to put a few more acres of plots in this weekend if weather permits. Then headed to Minnesota to stick a bear in a few days.
I'm using Carter Too Simple 4. Probably shouldn't switch right now but for sure give it a try in the future.
One of the only two bucks I've seen on camera. This is the bigger one. One week till opening day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heading down this weekend to grab cards from the trail cameras and check out the food plots. Last time in the timber before hunting season. Almost time!!! Actually my son flies out in the morning for the mountains of Colorado to run after elk. I wouldn't be honest if I said I wasn't a little bit jealous. Went with him last year but decided to take this year off. Big mistake that won't be made next year. Will post pics of anything interesting.
Next time I go to the lease I will be in a treestand! I still haven't shot my bow like I need too. Starting this week I'm going to shoot every day
Me either. The hot weather sucked my motivation away. Luckily it's been a bit cooler here lately so I could get out and shoot some. I feel ready and everything's in place. The deer just need to do their part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The guy I hunt with lives about 15 minutes from our lease, he went out to check the cameras today. I have one camera on a peanut field edge (which I'm going to put mock scrapes on next time I go up) and he said the deer sign is unbelievable, right on the edge of the field. Checked the camera and it had no pictures, it said 'no format', well come to find out I accidentally locked the memory card when I put it back in the camera.... Chock that one up to having my head up my a**. So hopefully soon I will have something to show you guys!
The food plots are looking great. Really starting to fill in. Trail cam pics were 1000s of pics of does and fawns. But again that is normal for our place until October. Here are some pics of the food (kill) plots we put in. This is the Main plot Main Plot from the stand This is the Small Plot Small Plot from the stand We call this the Mini plot And here is the only buck of substance that we've gotten on camera so far.
Hey guys, just got assigned to your team so I'm checking in. I'm looking forward to spending the season on the in your team. Looks like you guys have some really great deer to get after. I'm hunting CT which opens the 15th. I have a few decent bucks on two private properties that I'll be trying to pin down. I'll get some pics soon. I'm actually out goose hunting right now for the new pup's first hunt ever. Glad to meet you all. Good luck in your preparations.
Not going to be very active the next 2 weeks. Making final preparations for the trip out to Montana and then leaving Tuesday afternoon. I'll try my best to keep everyone updated - but enjoying the hunt and killing an elk are my top priorities so can't promise you anything.
