mappingsupport.com is awesome. It uses bing and google maps but the filter options are awesome! I'm addicted to it.

Just found out my hunting buddy knows the owners son across from our new property from high school. May be able to gain better access to around 100 acres now!

Between Facebook and County plat maps, I may have found 4 different farms to hunt in the near future, pretty excited!

Having options is always a good thing... good luck securing that spot! Hope there's a giant living in it.

I have never used POPs but if its anything like minerals I use I would just save it until next spring. But like you said it never hurts to give it a try. Never know unless you try

for myself it will depend on what my most recent info is, I plan to run cameras, find the buck i am looking for and if he is showing daylight activity that's on a pattern I will move in on him and hope for the best. otherwise, not sure! all the big bucks I am seeing are still in velvet, while most all the 2.5 yr old's are out of velvet. I think late springs must prolong the growing season of antlers, 2013 we had snow on the ground in april, and on the opening night last year my wife and I passed a full velvet buck! I have never seen anything like that. I would say right now it's 50/50 velvet vs polished here.

All depends on the wind and if I am getting any day light pictures. But probably will try to concentrate on acorns or if we have a north wind I can hunt the oak stand so I will have food plot and acorns :tu:

Hunted the WI opener last weekend... no luck. Deer seemed to still be pounding the fields.
I'll be back at it chasing Antelope tomorrow in South Dakota. Hope I have some 'Hero' pictures to
    post soon :)

No luck for me on the two morning hunts cause of the weather. Had two does come in yesterday morning but didnt have a clear shot, wasnt to worried though cause the trail they where on would of offered me a 15 yard shot if they stayed on it but a small buck ended up running them off before they had the chance to clear a branch blocking the camera view

not that I have on camera, but am seeing some good deer in the evenings feeding out in a bean field still so we shall see. I haven't been looking really hard, though. tonight I am gonna glass the place where I had seen my number 1 in daylight a few weeks ago and see if he comes out. if he does then i will be after him
