Wanted to make sure my cameras in the creek where ok. 2 of the 3 where good, the third is where turkey foot has been showing up and it got washed out and was laying in the creek Food plot we planted on 8/2 is coming along good though
Bad mouthin you?????? no we are out right talkin serious crap about you, now go back to Indiana where you belong and cheer for notre dumb! boo yaa! whats up now! here is what i will be hunting boys! crazy thing is this is a 3 yr old, man I would like to pass and see what he blows into!
Checked cams for the first time yesterday and ended up with a couple 2.5 yr olds on cam, nothing too exciting. Was able to get two more cams out along with some mineral sites yesterday as well. For those of you who have Food/Kill Plots, Who do you buy seed from? I was lookin into Plot-1, or Whitetail Institute.
Good looking deer. I know your feeling but me personally I cant pass a 3 year old in michigan, anything younger no problem. My kill plots consist of clover, rye, oats, sugar beats, and turnups. Just depends on what plot it is and whats in it. I have heard a lot of good things about Horny Buck Seed. Pastor aren't you working on some seed blends????
I had for the past several years put together around 30-40 acres worth of seed mixes for several of my buddies. I had enough interest in it from others that I put together a website and began selling seed to the public this spring. you can check it out if you want, here is a link. It is getting pretty late for brassicas, but you would still have plenty of time for something like winter wheat and oats, or winter rye, Austrian winter peas. those all could be planted as late as mid September. I will say this, deer love young tender oats, I like to plant those around the second week of September, they get up and are about 6 inches tall come the first of October and usually are getting pounded in early bow season. this is the web site - Cedar Valley Habitat Solutions | ?Welcome to the Valley!?
Just let me know when you a kill a buck I will come meet up with you and get my picture taken with it so we can use it here
Hello all... Checking in from Marquette County! I will be hunting the state of Michigan and Wisconsin... I can't wait to get started and contribute! -Look forward to getting to know you all.!
Team Michigan is all checked in and ready to drop em boys! Anyone going out for youth or early doe to get some field scouting in?
That's awesome, I have always wanted to hunt early doe but never have had the chance. seems like an awesome way to scout
Its a great way to get your does out of the way early....I would recommend doing this is a "doe spot" vs your buck spot. No need to be hunting does in your buck spot stinking it up before season starts.
