Thanks Everyone. It was an incredible and very emotional hunt. I new we were going to be in the ballgame when we headed in . We had a great weather pattern. Thinking it could happen and then having it happen is always a very sure real thing for me. As you will see during and after the hunt I had a very hard time finding words to talk. Just could believe everything that has happened over the last month. GOD IS GOOD.

Im getting ready to add him to the score card.

He weighed 225 field dressed and scored 158.

Hope all is well with you guys. Still have not been out. I hung another stand this weekend and did quite a bit more shooting. Might get out a couple times before the 30th, but am trying to hold myself back more for the end of the month and November. I am scheduling the 30th of October thru the 8th of November away from my work and will hunt the rest of November every chance I get. Checked 3 of my cams this weekend and had more new bucks show up, one was a 130ish 10 pt that I would shoot.

 

Sat over my clover plot Saturday evening for our opener. Saw two doe but nothing in range. Most all of the doe in this area have 2 fawns and considering the low deer density of the area I'm going to be very cautious of which doe I shoot. There are a couple, one of which is nearly black that seem to dry that will earn an arrow if I get the chance. Still no bucks on camera. Moose are just staring to move with the rut kicking in, one week from Saturday till moose season!

 

Too bad we can't score a big bull moose even though they are the largest member of the deer family
