***Official Autumn Addiction -Team 8 Thread***

This would have been my biggest buck with a bow and I still can't believe I let him walk. We have pics of way bigger deer and my partner killed a 153" 10 point on September 13th so I have a cameraman for the whole season. We have 2 Facebook pages where you can see some of our deer and the video from Johns hunt. Full penetration archery and the Wisconsin rut report. Lots of season left and I'd like to top that 153 mark.

Just picked up a last minute lease near Oregon, IL. It's 200 acres by the Rock River. I'm really excited about it, but nervous that I won't be setting up for another couple of weeks.

Well - I hunted the "blood moon" evening but didn't see a deer. LOL. I hate early season.

 

i was out dirt biking that night neal and was dodging deer with the truck all the way home.

 

I think the movement was just after the moon rose - after legal shooting hours. This week could be a good time to hunt mornings with the falling moon. Looked awesome today - wish I was hunting!

 

Me too but Saturday looks really good here with temperatures in the 40's in the morning

I would think the October first opener should be pretty good. Looks like we have a nice cold front coming plus the pressure is supposed to be out the roof on thursday and friday afternoon. Its predicted to be all the way up to 30.28 witch is crazy high for early season. I will definatley be going all in on thursday and fridays afternoon sits;.

 

Believe it or not i've found reports calling for pressure up above 30.4 on Friday. Can't miss opportunity. But I think morning may be better with full moon falling!

I was able to harvest a nice Five year old buck tonight. I havent put a tape on him yet but I would say hes in the low 150s maybe a little more. Had an absolute great hunt. I will post pics and the score tomorrow. Good luck and stay safe.
