I'm unfortunately off the grid for the next week. My Sister-n-law is getting married in San Francisco; so i'll be out of pocket until next week. First MN opening day i've missed since I was about 16. Plenty of season though - good luck to everyone on your opening days!

Just so you guys know keep Clinton and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He posted an extremely powerful message on facebook that i'll share below. But we are all a bowhunting family - and it definitely puts things in perspective. Hug your families extra close today... I did.

I still don't have any pics of deer sporting any horn on camera but I was graced with a few small Bulls this time around. Nice to see them getting on their feet and moving a little, hopefully the big guys will follow suit.

Lots of does on camera many with 2 fawns. All but 2 have atleast one. Really nice to see considering the low deer density of the area we are in.

 

My heart and prayers go out to you Clinton. I saw your Facebook post and I don't have the words to describe or change what you're going through. I wish you and your family peace and my condolences. Much of what you said hit home for me.

Hey guys, just a reminder as there are quite a few incorrect entries all ready in the official score thread.

You, your bow and the deer all must be in both of the photos for the score to count for the team.

 

Hey IL fellas, I've got a question.

Can a person get an archery tag and muzzleloader tag OTC? The muzzleloader tag is county specific and first come, first serve?

 

Archery yes. Muzzleloader no. Gun tags are county specific and archery tags are good for the state.

 

Alright. So I'm still confused. What's the difference between the firearm season and muzzleloader season?

 

According to this sheet, there are leftover muzzleloader tags for Pike County. That means I can buy one over the county on October 20, right?
