We were basically viewed as a doorman at a hotel by almost all state dept employees. And more often than not if you had to correct them on something they were doin wrong they'd look at ya like you just kicked a basket full of puppies in a river and started throwing a temper tantrum like a 4 year old. I can't count on both hands how many reports I had to fill out because some DOS employee thought they were too important to follow rules and then went crying up the chain when they got busted.
