I'd cut her lower legs off and try to splay her open a bit, especially at the hind quarters

Just to help cool quicker, lopping the lower legs off will help spread her out a bit in such a confined space.

Used to manage a restaurant 25+ years ago, I'm all about the 40-140 danger zone with food  You'll likely be fine

Thanks to the video I know the whole thing took about four minutes. A fawn and this doe appeared and the transition of the bottom of the south facing ridge and stretch of pine trees I set up in. Great intersection of 3 edges. The fawn bleated and run directly under me on video, then momma took her time and made her way straight to me then just past me and was feeding one something right below me. Quartered away shot she was 5 yards from my tree center punched her heart. Wish I got a pic of the heart but I didn’t. Could see blood gushing out in person and on video. I forgot to do the after shot interview because I immediately started stressing about the temperature and me being about 3/4 mile into this public. The app was working great until about half way through the track it completely locked up my phone. Wouldn’t turn off or anything I just put my phone in my pocket and walked the way I thought she was and walked right to her. Pretty crazy I might try to put the videos I took on YouTube we will see.

I use a regular cooler with gallon plastic milk jugs that are frozen. Makes great blocks of ice and lasts way longer than bags of ice.

Just need a knife at the knuckle joint, slice around it then bend it to find the tendon and they come right off.

Hand held tree loppers, right at the knuckle works great. It's how I did mine before going in and getting my bone saw

Shot one this weekend.. Scorecard will be updated soon just have to get the head back.

Little story time... My girlfriend came to visit from out of town, and it was hotter than ever so I got out of the stand 20 minutes early. On my walk out in this half cut corn field, I see a buck feeding on my direct path out. I stalk towards it and get to about 30 yards and smoked him. It's like he was drunk on the corn lol! He ran about 50 yards and piled up, I heard him die within a minute. Walked back up to truck, gathered myself, and recovered him just 20 minutes later.

    Congrats! But.........

@LittleChief we have a contestant who has admitted to shooting a drunken deer for contest entry.

    Should we Jimmy Houston him?
