Need a new plan for the evening. Checked cams and the big boar who has been a regular has gone nocturnal, gonna give that spot a rest for a week or so. Last year I had multiple bears under me there almost every night and the pressure never seemed to get to them. Guess I'll focus on deer for a bit. See yall in the stand in a few hours.
Man I’ve been very fortunate, I’ve had access to one since I started hunting 22 years ago. When my dad bought this house I was 16-17 I believe, and finally after 3-4 years we went in halves on this cooler set up and put it up at his place, there’s been a lot of deer in and out of there since we put it up. In the next few years my wife and I are hoping to find out forever home/property however it works out and dad said he’s passing the cooler torch to me when that happens, so I will probably build over buying one this time.
I’m setup for the evening hopefully the rain holds off good luck to everyone Sent from my iPhone using ]][emoji[emoji6]]]Bowhunting.com Forums
Heading in. Going to a spot I call our "hidden valley" I have only been in there once since the storm last year, lots of down trees but I'm hopeful to find a good spot for the evening. I'll check in if I can, signal may be an issue. Good luck to all who venture out!
Just shot a coyote didn’t see it fall made it to the clear cut will look a little at dark but not going to get my scent everywhere looking for it either Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
All settled in. Really digging this spot, the wind not so much. Hope it picks a direction and sticks with it at some point.
Guess I have enough signal here to upload a pic, unbelievable. Not sure how well it shows up but this used to be a beautiful hardwood bottom. We're planning to clean it up this winter and then replant with oaks and persimmons.
Let's go PM shift! Sunday, bloody Sunday! Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’m set up in an area that looks great and hasn’t been hunted in a few years. It’s a booger to get to even on an ATV but I’m in a great white oak 22 feet up overlooking a toad intersection and a heavy travel path. No idea what to expect but it could be good. Unfortunately I got here a bit early and I cooked in the sun for an hour. I got hot enough I snipped some white oak branched and held them up to block the sun until it started going behind a tree.
I really wish the temps would drop. I’d love to do a pm sit where I didn’t smell like a locker room by the time the sun goes down.
