So drove out to the place I'll be hunting in December this morning. No one was parked there.

Standing corn on the east side of the road and standing beans in the field abutting the sout side of the hunt area. As thick as I thought it would be, should improve a little when the leaves drop.

I bet there are all kinds of scraps along those field edges. Did you happen to do any scouting other than from the road? That looks like deer haven to me.

On the bright side was a 13 minute drive from doorway to parking spot. I drove completely around the place, washed my truck, went grocery shopping and got back home in the same amount of time it would take to drive one way to any other place I can hunt.

Down side, still 10 weeks before I can realize it

It would be super if those beans were still there in December, but I'm sure they will come off before then.

Yeah, was surprised they were still standing as dry as it has been the past few months. Most fields were still standing out there. Oddly a couple bean fields in town have already been cut. Usually the last standing.

I'll make a few more trips out there, rotating mornings and evenings. Really want to know how much it is being hunted if at all before I get to.

Buffer boundaries really make it a bit tougher.

    That is 3 so far.

Thank you everyone, it’s been a great couple mornings in the woods that’s for sure! The doe yesterday ran about 40 yards and piled up. The doe this morning made it probably 80-90 yards and fell over. Both complete blood baths (sorry I didn’t get any blood pics the morning).

I’m going to be done until Tuesday evening when this cold front rolls in. It may be bucks only for a couple sits but ya never know!

Catching up on some stuff around home today after yesterday doe consumed most of the day and it’s supposed to be 80 again. There’s also beers to kill today. Good luck everybody out there I’ll be following along. Congrats on another deer MIHOYT

Looks like the cooler weather forecast was just a mirage. Temps keep trending up as it gets closer. While still cooler than it has been still looking at 80's for next weekend.

Once again I saw nothing. I took the climber out and we will revisit that spot later. I know it's good.

I moved it to an area I've never hunted. I scouted it last year and it looked great. Lots of buck sign and good trails. I just never got around to getting over there. Partly because it's a pain to get to. Can't take the e-bike because there is a creek that has to be ridden for a ways.

The stand is on a tree and I will probably go there this afternoon.

That is a great setup, I’m gonna be putting in a walk-in fridge this upcoming spring.
