About 5 hours of boiling and picking on this buck. Every hour check it and pick. Then near end i check it every 30 minutes and pick and spray with a garden hose. Keep repeating this last cycle til its done. Probably about 3 rounds of that. Then let dry and decide if i want to bleach it white.

I’ve done it at home here in MI and also on MO public and if you’re not used to it, it’s absolutely hell in the morning trying to remember where you put it when you’re loading the vehicle lol.

Just two does and a fawn tonight, no bears. Gonna hunt the home ridge in the morning, primarily for deer, then back to bear spot tomorrow night.

Back home, nothing sighted. I am surprised, I thought for sure this heat would have them coming to the secluded pond.

I had some catching up to do on the scorecard when I got in and then my son and my wife both called me. Anyway, after an eventful sit yesterday afternoon nothing came by me today. About 10 minutes before dark a doe started blowing up the hill to my right. The wind was in my favor and I was thinking "What in the world is she blowing at?".

Dark came and I left everything in the tree yet again, climbed down and started walking to my ebike. I had laid it down off the road 75 yards away. When I topped the rise I saw something. It looked like light. I stopped, turned my light off and thought what in the world? It was like I could see bright light 50 yards away.

Turns out when I laid my bike down I must have accidentally turned the headlight on. It was shining straight up the road. No wonder the doe lost its mind.

I will go back there in the morning because I want to give it one morning sit. Then I'll pull the climber and leave that spot alone until later in the season.

    "Teamsqueaks". :lmao2:

If I had shot one you'd have seen an "Arrow launched" post. I do that for a reason, and it's not to sound cool or anything. Sometimes, especially during the off season, I like being able to go back and read the LFTS entries where I killed a deer. That makes it easy. I just do a search for "Arrow launched" posted by me and I get to relive history without a ton of digging.

Just in case anyone wondered why I always try to post the same thing.
