I might have come home empty handed but it was a great sit. The deer did exactly what I expected them too. The buck that walked by almost died. I'll usually shoot a 100-ish buck without even considering it, but I'd like to get something a little bigger. It would have been a chip shot though. 10 minutes before dark the does/fawns walked by at 20 going the other way. I had already decided I wasn't going to shoot a doe there in the evening. Still, it's nice to know that I had at least two shots that I could have taken. I'm going to go back there for a morning sit just to observe and then I'll pull the climber and save the spot for later. One big downside to that spot is that if I kill one it's going to run down into the valley and there's only one way to get one out: Uphill dragging.
With all the killers in the woods tonight, knew someone would have there chance. So awesome Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I don't take glasses with me! That's why my posts have lots of typos..... Sometimes they read like @oldnotdead typed them.
Very nice buck, Dan. Congrats! You got hunts planned in any other states? Sent from my SM-S916U1 using Tapatalk
