Just noisy squirrels. Shaded and thermals just switched, doing their magic.

Like I always say, light and variable means that the light wind will undoubtedly “vary” to the nose of the nearest deer.

I actually have a fairly steady SE wind. My sweat is actually evaporating for a change, which is nice.

We don’t have many mosquitoes in the hills here. The ticks and chiggers make up for them though.

Beautiful evening. Temps and humidity lowering a tad. Only walked in maybe .75 miles so it was t that bad. I should hear them coming down the ridge as its dry as could be.

We don't have em near as bad as we did in MD. Just enough to be annoying though

That was exiting. I almost shot him. He was an 8 that might have scored 100. He walked by at 15 yards.

I told myself I was going to try to hold out for something a bit bigger this year.

This tree sucks but it’s in a good spot.

I'm okay with a light wind, but it's the variable that seems to screw me.

When I say this tree sucks it does, because it’s a red oak that was broken by the storms.

    Here’s the top of what’s left :

I heard that buck coming for a while. The leaves are very dry and crunchy.
