Bears… cameras not even out for a week. Luckily they didn’t find the one camera yet. They will soon though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, the good news is I have another pig down. The bad news is they were already on the feed when I got there which is why I carried my gun in. There was no way to sneak into bow range and have a shot. It’s too thick.
He is. Haven’t talked to him in a while but do see his posts from his Facebook. The new ones look pretty sweet but I’m content with my gen 2’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do you hunt bear there? Might be cool to grab a tag for archery in case, I always get one for Pa just in case. We always have a couple around summer but they seem to go elsewhere where I hunt by the opener.
Got 1 stand taken down today and another one cleaned up with some fresh straps and hemp rope. The one I took down is where I’ve taken my best 2 bucks. I’m looking for a tree with more cover so I can hunt lower. That hang on was to high for my blood. I’m going to different property in the morning to move 2 more stands, supposed to get into the 50s tonight should make for some good weather to be out in. Here’s a pic from the stand I cleaned up and the spoils after. It’s get busy time. Almost forgot to mention I bought some tangle foot off Amazon and attached a rag to my hat it helped immensely with the flies. Highly recommend it. Might look like a ****** bag but I’ll do anything to keep them bastards off me.
I don’t hunt them. I don’t care for the meat and have no desire for a pelt. I’ve never seen one while deer hunting. I’ve had a lot of people ask if they can bait/hunt them. Would kinda mess up my hunting situation since it’s just 47 acres. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey ash d, this is what I do with the tangle foot and it works great. Wrap your hat of choice with duct tape, spread on a thin layer and when it gets full you can just peel it off and do it again.
