Back to barn. All in all a good sit. Two different bucks, a sow with 3 cubs, and whatever bear winded me and started chuffing and popping its jaws. Fun stuff. Back at it on the am.

At last shooting light I heard one coming to the field. He stepped into my lane at twenty and it was a basket rack. Oh well. Fun sit. I’m Grateful for the beautiful evening and opportunities.

Awe ,you haven't lived until you step around a bush and come face to face with a bear sitting on the trail watching you... feet, I could clearly see the flies walking on his snout.
Please be very, very careful around a sow with cubs

I had one with a couple cubs up on two legs with her paws on my tree looking up at me the day before I shot my boar. I could see the brown in her eyes as she looked into my soul she took a couple jumps away turned around looked at me then went back to eating with her cubs. Was wild for sure.

Maybe you should try what I use for deer: A laser pointer.

I'm down and back at the house. Now I know this is going to surprise you all but I let three does and two fawns walk by at 15 yards 20-25 minutes before dark. That is a good buck spot and while I made an exception last time because it was my first one, I don't want to track and recover a doe there at night. Sure would have been easy shots on the big doe. They walked out from behind the big cedar slightly quartering away and just milled on their way.

I heard deer from the side I expected the bucks to come from but they didn't come my way.

I think I'm going to take tomorrow morning off. The wind will be out of southeast and that's dead wrong for both climbers I have out. I'll shift the one I was in this afternoon to a different spot mid-day tomorrow.

I'll try it! Crazy cats sounds has worked a couple times now, once to keep her out of my tree and tonight to run them off at dark.

I use this one. It's relatively inexpensive. It's a rechargeable 1200 lumen flashlight with a magnetic base. It has the laser pointer and can function as a battery pack. It lasts because I've had mine for 6 years now.

    Neither do I.

This little gizmo light comes in really handy. It makes a really good white blood trailing light as well.

I didn't think of it, but so do I, of course. I normally don't carry power banks unless I'm wearing my heated vest. Counting this one I carry three flashlights in my pack, not counting my small head lamp or my hellubright searchlight headlamp for tracking.

This is just convenient early season. See, there I go trying to tempt you.

Well guys I hope I'm not the only one out this morning, cause if I am, I'm a very poor representative. This is the first time using the ebike in a hunting situation for me. To make a long story short, I don't think I Iike it for this situation. I'll explain more later. Anyway, I get to the base of my tree and discover I forgot to put my safety harness on, its back at the truck.......I think! So, I'm going to be hunting from the ground this morning. I had a whole bunch of other missteps as well this A.M. but I'm not gonna talk about it now. Good luck to anyone who is out. I hope your morning goes better than mine has started
