    He is feeding up the drainage about 75 yards, so dont have to worry about him. But the last 30 minutes i have a doe feeding all around me. She has walked past me twice at 10 feet. She knows im buck hunting, haha! 20250930_172532.jpg

    Last 45 minutes. Just that 1 buck and 3 doe so far. Been hearing fawns bleat all around the marsh. Just a great hunt!

    Had a doe try and cross the water and it got deep on her, so she turned around and went back, pretty funny.

    Good luck in the morning guys.
    You all know I'm superstitious. I go over to put birds to bed and had stuff for compost. I'm in garden area walking past the new coop build. Out of the frame charges a long haired solid black cat right at me. I Jumped yelping and it takes off trying to find a way out of chain link.
    Really,really a blk cat the night before opener. Especially on the heels of the doe debacle. I have not seen a cat on our place in 2 yrs. :sad:

    No more deer seen. Ran into a whole hurd on the way out. Probably 20-25 deer. But this was out in a cut corn field that i cross when leaving this spot.
