    I made it to the tree without busting a deer. The buck bed is 40 yards from me. Nothing got up, so think im in the money. Going to stay still at base of tree for a bit, then climb the tree. This part hurts. Slow and steady.

    Made it up the tree completely quiet. This setup is almost perfect. Tons of cover, perfect 10 yard shooting lanes, wind is great and once thermals kick in, even better. Time to focus

    Guys aren't going to believe this. Got a deer bedded at 30 yards. Found it with my binos. Could be the buck. Haven't been able to confirm

    Oh its definitely a buck! Has a pretty good rack on him, just dont know if it my shooter. Just ranged him, 29 yards.

    He was asleep and just woke up, so is moving his head around now and can see him.

    No this was the bed i was hunting that evening, i just setup to far back from it. The other bed was about 150 yards from here, the one i jumped a deer out.

    So originally i came in last Saturday to find a big 6 pt that i found his sheds off of this past winter. Well i think this buck bedded in front of me is that buck. If so, this could be a 4 year old buck.

    Maybe they're both in the area? Would assume bachelor groups bed together the same as they travel together?

    Is last years 6 still on the menu if it's him and bigger? Never heard how big the shooter was last time.

    So he got up out his bed, then presented a perfect shot. But not the buck im looking for. Nice wide frame on him. He stood there for 5 minutes went to the bathroom and then went back to his bed and layed down. So awesome to watch. 20250930_164223.jpg

    If there's one in a bed, maybe there's a couple bigger one's bedded close by. Be on the lookout!
