Like I said, I’m not allergic to it but if it makes contact with a cut, fresh scratch or any break in the skin I can get it. I learned that lesson the hard way. I’ve often wondered what’s in some people’s skin that makes them impervious to it.
I saw a 7 point at 4:00 and I had a hen with 2 poult’s come in a little after 5:00. It’s getting close to go time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m taking this afternoon off. I may just hunt mornings in the tree where the buck showed up if the wind is right and wait on him. At least until the afternoon temps go down a bit. I was drenched by the time I finished dealing with her. I got the arrow cleaned and the broadhead cleaned and sharpened. Had to straighten two blades a bit but it’s sharp, sound and the arrow is back in the number one slot.
I almost took tomorrow morning off also but about every three days deer show up in front of that camera and tomorrow is day three. I’d rather lose a little sleep than wake up to a pic of a buck in front of my stand again. Of course, if a doe shows up I’ll shoot. Lots of freezer space right now.
I’m just biding time. Was at cheerleading all day while my cameras laughed at me. Met a family that had some hard times and they like venison, about to let it eat! (Not that I need much encouragement)
Here I was thinking I was supposed to put ‘em on the ground. Monday and Tuesday are the best days of the first quarter moon, which I always enjoy hunting. Well, as long as I’m not sweating anyway. I may suck it up and hunt those two afternoons.
I can picture you getting ready every am to this song. My daughter just said what the heck are you listening too ?!
Young kids shouldn’t be familiar with that. Older kids that aren’t familiar with that may not be being raised right.
I say dont hunt tomorrow LC, wink wink (just in case the deer are reading this) Looks like Tuesday will be the day I go in for that buck. I have been obsessing over the details. One of two things happened. I entered the woods in a drainage ditch, and 50 yards down, I bumped a big deer off his bed. It bound off heavy footed and blew several times very deep. All vegetation around the bed was torn up. Very strange. Im fairly confident it was a buck. So i circled 200 yards in direction that deer went. I stopped 50 yards from the next drainage at a pinch point. That way, i could see more and hopefully catch the deer circling back. It worked, but i should have gone to the drainage, and i knew that the second i climbed the tree. Well, about an hour later, i saw a large deer cross the drainage at the top, about 100 yards out. Then, an hour after after that, that shooter buck came out at the bottom of drainage and stood there for about 35 minutes just winding the drainage and scanning. Then turned around and went back in. So i either i bumped that same buck off his bed, or i bumped a smaller buck, and it ran down there and got the attention of the shooter. So my dilemma is, do i do the exact same thing and try and bump that deer ? And hope the same scenario happens, but this time, im in the drainage, ready for a shot. Or do i just try and sneak into drainage without spooking any deer. Probably overthinking this, but this is what every huntt is like for me. Any suggestions? Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
