Hey Jim, the worst of it is south of me. We have had a few cases in the county. I don’t have any really big bucks on camera but that isn’t all that unusual for me at this part of the season. No signs of EHD where I'm at. Covered up in fox squirrels last hour or so. No deer sightings as of yet. Probably gonna head out about 10.

Two small bucks early this morning and a doe about half hour ago. Just had a red fox go ten yards in front of me. Trapper by profession Hunter by choice
Scouting run done and no snakes seen. Found nothing interesting but the area is so thick with cudzu I couldn't see squat anyway. Have a buddy turning 50 and headed to a shindig for that tonight. Gonna wait till Grey light in the morning and check a cam where I'm likely to set up soon and I'll probably take my lone wolf to hang it. If no bucks are there, there ain't none yet
Always heard feed em a raw egg for a copperhead bite. This time of year is pretty bad here for them. We have rattlers too, but never seen one here so far. Glad the dog is good. Good luck this year!
Well, I saw no deer and I am surprised. Those jerks seem to have my number. Either that or they’ve hacked my account again and know when and where I’m going.
Supposed to be hot again for the next two weeks. The ebbs and flows of season. Talking about snakes and such, man I saw more frogs yesterday than ever before...almost biblical.
Back at the house watching a little football. I'll be heading back out a little later and sitting in a different stand. It will be a little warm, around 78, but it is opening day. Hopefully I'll put a big doe down this evening!

Nothing sighted this morning for any of the three of us. Sat until 9:30 and got down to move a stand. Going to head back out with my 8 year old and sit a pond for the after. I am hoping with the moon over head and the heat, we can get some to come that he can shoot with the crossbow.
