Seems like the perfect year to have the first annual pre rut bhod party and we have a venue! You already said we are all allowed to hunt that 500 acre farm with you too!

Update from this mornings hunt. I did not see any deer while in the tree. Decided to get down and do some scouting since it was an area I have not hunted. I decided to head down a drainage and check out a few of the ridges. As I begin to go down I see a big buck stand up and walk down the ridge as I was trying to nock an arrow. He was gone pretty quick but he did not run out of there. Found his bed and followed his tracks down into the bottoms and marked a nice scrape. Decided it was time to get out of there. Would have been cool to put a camera down there and see what all walks around down there. Anyway was a great day again in the woods. I plan to be out in the woods tomorrow morning in a different area I have also not hunted yet.

I’m back on stand in another new spot. Maybe something will move through here.

    Yup. It still is.

I’ve said it before, but I hate a “light and variable” wind.

I had no wind this morning. Hardly any water in the creeks. We need rain bad.

You need water there and it finally dried up here after three days of heavy rain.

I should be able to hear deer if they get close.

Yes there was a bed where he stood up from. Steep ridge. Did not look like it is used often so I am unsure how often he is in there.

I’mset up in thick cover where I’ve seen deer sneaking past before. Im a whopping 8 feet off the ground but I have good cover. If I got any higher I wouldn’t be able to shoot.

I could probably jump from here with no major injuries.
