Yeah, that's a bit of the problem I don't know where they bed or where they feed There's literally one contour line across the entire property. No creek or open areas. Just flat woods in late December. Looke very promising for an early season spot when crops were still up and it was thick and nasty. Oddly enough, will be a warm up coming next week that might actually assist me. Couldn't imagine they would bed there in cold and wind without any real wind breaks.
I’m all setup waiting for daylight haven’t had much on camera lately but you never know I guess good luck everyone Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Im a firm believer of never going in until the first day i hunt. Scout my way in. If i never set foot on property, then would go a extra hour or maybe 2 in the dark and scout the same way if it was day light. Bring bright light and just keep it pointed low to ground. I hang my stand on my best guess from what i see. Then when sun comes up, i might make a move if needed. Or wait for mid day and make a move if nothing seen. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I just got up on stand. I had a promising Teams interview this morning. 23 degrees and calm. At least I didn’t bump anything on the way in. Good luck if you’re out this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Jim! I had a virtual Teams meeting at 6:30 this morning. She did say at the end of the meeting that she would setup an onsite interview and plant tour next week. It’s for 3rd shift which isn’t ideal but I need to get my foot in the door. At 61, I never thought I would be looking for another job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck Scott. I hope the interview turns into a good opportunity for you. As you have said he always opens another door!
Try a large cheesesteak and a coke. Then take a nap, then go hunting in the afternoon, haha Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

I’m trying to get motivated as well for the evening hunt. Earliest I can get in will be about 3pm. Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a deer from one of my spots.
Likely my scenario, but waiting until closer to light. Only 8 acres, but ending up in a briar thicket in the dark is more my luck I did that the firat time I hunted my uncle's place. Missed the trail turn off to get to the stand I wanted to hunt. Knew it was under the high lines as a pole was about 25yds away. Kept looking up until I was directly under it and turned right. Took me 35 minutes to get through 35yds of the thickest nastiest stuff. Every other step I was breaking a 1 -2" dead limb, would have been quieter using a bobcat to get through Never missed that trail turn off again
