I’m set up in the valley bottom due south of where I’ve been buck hunting. I can’t do any worse down here. The wind is supposed to die down quite a bit the last hour or so. Maybe they’ll move.
Good luck Johnny! 3:30 deer started moving everywhere. I did get my wish. I saw a more mature 8 point at 30 yards. I haven’t seen him before. I just couldn’t do it. He’s probably 95” - 100”. Glad to see he’s made it this far in our gun season. I was definitely looking him over with my crossbow. He’ll be a shooter next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No, it’s supposed to start later this evening into tomorrow but only 10 - 20 mph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Between the big 8 point my granddaughter shot and the buck I got in Ohio, my freezer is almost full. I’ll hold out or take a doe in the late season after Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopefully my first hunt or 2 will have snow still on the groumd with what falls in the coming days. All but gone now, would really help to pull on a sled if I am successful. Looks like I may be hunting in rather warmish temps for December stamdards. December came in like a lion and looks to be leaving like a lamb.
Well it has to do with years of them tresspassing on lands not theirs, under the guise of ... trailing deer. It was a feud and I was warned then asked to not allow it. They would come knocking. Sure enough, first season a group of 4 family members. They asked and I countered knowing what they'd do. I said only ,only if I am contacted before and I accompany them in the search. I find them, with out this, I have them arrested period. Well you'd thought I'd pepper sprayed their joc straps. How dare I , mind you in my own drive. LOL, that did not go well. I explained I'd been rightfully fore warned. They countered they been hunting this hill for generations. I had to remind them Generational "wealth" only works if you have ownership, and I own this land and your free to leave my land now. It was game on with them for years after. They'd even take pot shots at me, damn near shot sanctuary owner out of their tree stand. Law was called and some damaging evidence found. That ended the issue. So everyone stays away from everyone else. It was ridiculous they own 3 times more land than me or my other nieghbor. They even managed to tick off the farmer after he bought along my border lost that hunting. What's mine is mine and whats yours is mine attitude. Nope pretty much not. I put my phone # on All my posted signs calls get respect, no call and I'll hunt you down and turn you in..
Sure missed a few days there. Sunny - there are few things more lovely than gushing blood in the snow....butbthen again, I've never seen it rain boobies!
Good for you standing your ground. We had the same problem with Amish in Ohio. They found out real quick that they need to stay on their own land. The first day of youth gun season they were walking the road hunting both sides. One is not their side and I made a point to tell them when I caught them doing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
