Well, they WERE running full speed when they went under me.

The buck was the only one that stopped.

Anyone ever have a TFCC tear? That's what the Dr. thinks it could be, but won't know until I get an MRI which could take a couple weeks for workers comp to approve. Waiting that long would completely wash my season and ruin any shot at a lake area draw next year.

He did up my restrictions from no use to 20lbs or less, I just don't want to take it from a rest and excercise to surgery scenario.

I just cannot believe my luck this year.

I just got busted by a young buck I didn’t even know was there. I was getting drowsy so I stood up for a few minutes. I decided to sit back down and he caught me. I didn’t know he was there until he took off.

    I need to wake up.

If she had it she still has it, since it doesn't go away. Only you can determine if that's right or wrong...

Is that a creek in the background? You have a great view there!

Ok. That was definitely auto correct. I typed, the storm was lite but it's picking up.
I did leave at 8:30 , though I just got in and I'm settled in with my first cup of coffee. What took.me so long well.....
Why some ppl get mail delivery and others may not. I did that twice as the plow buried it again. Then there is, the first 100 ft with 2 hundred left to do.

BTW, near frozen when I left blind and drenched in sweat when I came in. Only blind visitors were a couple of squirrel and 2 crow. Team work the squirrel would hop around digging up clover and weed seed heads. See Then the crow would fly down and yank out the greens..
I did shoot once before leaving, checking my eye to barrel bead sight. About an inch high which is OK by me.

Yes it is. Actually there are two creeks there. Also, right in front of me 6 yards away is a small spring that comes up right there.

It’s a great view, but it’s so thick.

It’s a good spot and I’ll revisit it, but the wind has shifted and I’m going back after the big 8 starting this afternoon.

I’m down and back at the house. The buck that busted me was the only deer I saw.

I have to say that between the heated socks, heated thermal bottoms, heated vest and hand warmers I stayed fairly warm this morning.

Oddly enough I was colder this morning than I was yesterday morning even though yesterday was 4 degrees colder. I think that was because of the cold, damp north wind coming through the snow covered valley. My nose was like a dripping faucet this morning.

What kind of heated bottoms do you have?

Got out of the stand around 1015 started a slow walk through the woods. Snuck up on 4 doe. Decided to pass they were on the edge of drop off and it would have been miserable to get one out if it went down the hill side. Trying to dry my clothes grab something to eat and heading back out.

Back up. I have a good feeling about tonight. Lots of tracks behind my stand on the back hill. Was a little clunky getting in, going to have to keep looking behind me, I hate that part. image.jpg image.jpg

Looks like a great spot. That snow is a big help seeing them. Good luck!

Just finished the rest of drive way. My knee is shot so no go here. The cam pull showed just two deer way before shooting hour. They are hanging in the sanctuary and the pine plantings.
The snow has finally eased up. Actually was a beautiful snowy winter day.

Just my luck I’d see this in a tree. They aren’t anything super nice but they’re heavyweight and they work well. As I said before, you need a heck of a battery pack to get 4-5 hours on medium. A 5 hour sit drained a 26,000 mAh pack. It sure was worth it though.

I ordered them off of Amazon. Let me see if I can pull it up.

I had high hopes but the deer didn’t show up. Try again tomorrow.
