I’m sitting in a different spot this afternoon. It’s cold, I forgot my hand warmers and it’s sleeting.

Do deer move when it’s sleeting?

We just added another inch of snow. Starting to get real cold.

Young hunter I befriended this year landed his first archery buck...on Dec 1. In the snow...amazing!

yup, 7 inches at the house almost 9" at work .. snowing again now 1-4"/NW Indiana, heaviest south of the Kankakee .. colder air coming this weekend, single digit night temps ... also Opener ML season Saturday for two weeks/archery continues as do reduction zones ........ Indiana ends gun/early archery season with aprox. 116,053 ytd ..... firearm kill was 69,602 ... will be a few stragglers to checked in also within the required 48 hr time frame ... Steuben county leads all counties with 3261 taken so far .. they usually kill 3000+ every year in that county (borders SE MI and NW Ohio)

Nothing for me tonight. I was talking to one of the other guys who hunts the same property I do and he kind of let the cat out of the bag. He’s always hush hush about what he sees. My uncle must have told him about the one I hit in last month. I never told him so tonight he asked me if he was chasing a ghost. He must of thought I hit one he was after but it wasn’t. Then he tells me he saw a big one in October but hasn’t seen it since. That also happened quite a few years ago. He was after a big one hunting a lot, all day sits. Day after thanksgiving the buck he was after strolled through in front of me and I got it. Will see if history repeats itself.

Well I wasted a tuna noodle casserole on tonight....lol My, you will get fed if I get a deer tonight meal plan casserole.
I never saw a deer. 2 cardinals and 1 squirrel.
At least hubby loved the casserole with a side of peas. Depending on weather I will be out in the morning.
