Up ,gun all cleaned and ready. I open door to let dogs out and they both run away. In the high 20's with flags and wind socks blowing parellel to the ground. I literally had to grab collars and DRAG them across the floor then push them off the porch!
I'm not going out in that willingly either. The only safe spot ,garden blind will have this blowing straight in the shooting window.
    Good luck guys

Time to bump up that prescription, again, old man .

The tilde in Spanish over the n is a different letter, you’re right, (the sound is kinda like the ‘en’ and ‘ya’ like in the word canyon). But in mathematics is used to indicate ‘approximately’.

No deer seen yesterday evening. I'll do one last hunt for the season tomorrow. Here's what Raynauds/white finger syndrome looks like when it's just getting underway, and why I MUST use hand warmers to be out in the cold.

Great in season scouting conditions. 2 to 3 inches of frozen snow.

Glad I stayed in. Lots of activity , no where near shooting hours. They dug up the plot but good though. Son went to camp ,8 " of snow and he got another doe.

Both hubby and DIL has it....she's way too young to have to deal with something like that.

I had second thoughts about going out. Alarm was set got up opened the windows and the wind was howling. Went back to bed got up and made some venison chili. Should be done around 1. Might head out for the evening hunt. Will see. Down in PA my niece got a double, her husband a doe, my nephew a 4pt and my cousin his first deer a doe.

That looks delicious! Great on a cold, miserable day. Congrats to your family members on their kills!

I don’t think it can reach. It will probably break off at some point.

I believe that's probably the issue with that buck. They have an amazing ability to heal with these types of wounds. Hoping it doesn't get infected.

Plans to hunt Friday were overtaken by family commitments. Kids had a wrestling tournament all day yesterday so I am up for this afternoon. Sitting on the tip of a point into a lake. Food plot to my north, plenty of trails and scrapes in the woods boarding it. Multiple trails converge right at my tree before enter The plot. Wind is blowing into the lake. Just need something to come through.

I’m back up a tree for the afternoon hunt. I wish the wind would shift to anything besides NW.

I’ve seen some bucks but they’re all too small. I was hoping the gun hunters would push something in but not yet.
