That squiggly means ‘about’. 2 granddaughters don’t take up much space or eat that much…but they require lots of grandparent time and attention.
Only saw the lone doe this morning, got down before ten and did some scouting, found several beds in the thicket I was watching, found some nice trails, hung a camera and picked a better tree for next time. Also went to swap out a camera I suspected wasn’t working for the past month or so, found a massive scrape still cleared only about twenty yards away and several nice sized rubs nearby. Hung a different camera there and will see what shows up. Should be back down next Friday or Saturday, not sure if I will go back to the public or go to the private land.
I am out with Fix this afternoon, crossbow in hand… good luck and stay safe! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
we had that (thundersnow) and lightening during that early Nov. snow + lake effect a few weeks back .. always cool to hear and see ... just a pain in the dupa to clean up what it leaves behind .. its comin' down good now/2in/hr. .. also glad I didnt make the 80+ mile round trip to go out this AM ... did get sent a single cam pic of a deer running past the location I was going to sit this AM, only can sit it with southerlies, and they were/are SE today ... thats ok, with yesterdays two close calls (different location than this), one day out of two days off this time of year for me aint bad to be able get out .. the lone deer .. stand tree is 27 yds to the right .... didnt go out cause I wimped out ...
or this one, same spot ^^ ... was at work/12 hr shift.. whats comforting is that it is the wrong wind for this set up, it was N/NW and would have blown right to him, southerlies only for here ..
Nothing for us this afternoon. One fawn at 15yds . That will do it for our Thanksgiving trip. Good visit. I'll be back Thursday cause my Mom is having surgery. I was coming to help her but she was like, go hunting. I'll be helping her and see how it goes. I'll have my stuff with me but she comes first.
Hunted all day, saw an ungodly amount of doe. Had a shooter too far for a shot. Was a fun day, ended up shooting a doe, my phone died and didn’t have my power bank or cord. Gave the doe to my buddy.
I have had deer do it. Several years ago, I shot a buck just in front of nearside hip on a hard quarter away- the arrow buried to the fletch and he ran away. Gave him like 5-6 hours before we took up the track, were on spotty blood for maybe 75-100yds then I found a bed and nearby was the arrow on the ground with all the vanes ripped off, rage blades deployed in full open so you could tell it was pulled out backwards. He was dead less than 20 yards past that with his guts hanging out of the entry hole. He'd ripped pretty much the full length of the arrow back out of himself. I got liver and lung so he was a dead deer anyway but he had the strength to do that.
touche brother. He was a one and done. I don't always shoot a deer multiple times but when I do, I prefer a full quiver
I always thought it went over an “n” in Spanish. With my vision it looked like a dash, even with reading glasses.
It did rain almost all day today here. The rain stopped around 3:30 but my then I was on my way to a 44th high school reunion. It’s the first one I’ve ever gone to and it was weird to say the least. I really wanted to hunt tomorrow morning but the NNW wind were going to have is wrong for every stand I have up. I’ll move one tomorrow and get back in the game tomorrow afternoon.
It’s been very cold here in central MN and I haven’t posted from the stand. Went out tonight and had these guys chasing about 200yds from me. Winding down for me. Think we are going ice fishing next weekend we will see what happens after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
