It’s actually the same 11 point I passed a couple weeks ago but I didn’t know it until I pulled it out of the briars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm back at the house. I've been trying to fill my last firearms doe tag and I could have this evening. Shortly after I got set up I noticed a big, fresh scrape about 15 yards from my tree. There was also a big cedar that was tore up. I decided then and there that this would be an observation sit only. I can't shoot another buck until bow season opens back up Wednesday. Three does walked the road at 30 yards and would have been easy prey for the 45-70, but I let them walk. Sure enough, about 45 minutes later I heard a twig snap and then I heard the unmistakable sound of a buck cruising. I spotted him and watched through my binos as he angled across the valley. He is a stud of a 10 point. I think he's a 10 anyway. Couldn't see brow tines. I'm going back down in the morning for an AM observation sit. Then I'll back out, take tomorrow afternoon and Tuesday off and get back down there Wednesday morning based on what I see tomorrow morning. If I don't see anything great in the morning I may wait until Wednesday afternoon. I'm wondering now though if I should move over to where I saw him or stay put. I could be sitting on the trail he'll walk Wednesday and I'd have to sit over there and watch him again. A buddy of mine always says "If you move, move to where you can't see the tree you were in."
I know. I'm gonna tag @S.McArthur so he sees what's going on in the valley he was in. It really sucks it was so warm when he was here. You've still got your tag Steve. You can come back anytime.
