Wow, that could have gotten ugly very quickly! Glad it turned out in your favor!

I'm in on my feet taking the 30-06 with me. I'm out at my deep woods stand right now and tracks everywhere, a bed and an area that's all torn up. They have definitely been here the last couple days. I didn't come dressed to sit a stand but think I'll just stand here till I get cold. Good luck everyone!

Plan was working well until it wasn't. Last half mile of driving to spot was shut down due to a private gated community. Spun all the way around and Im gonna walk in the mile and a half.

    Alright im up on stand.

Nothing too crazy here. I did jump some deer, so thats a plus. Some big rubs run across this flat ridge top. Very thick on the forest floor, but can see a ways up in the tree. Hoping to get eyes on something tonight and start making moves on future hunts.

Back on stand and can see 2 fawns feeding in the distance. Good luck if you’re out.

Ground assault tonight, a little public parcel guy just pulled out of…I think he was fishing.

    Hardwood stands, creek bottom.

I brought the waldrop pacseat tonight wanted to get a little deeper in the woods and farther from a house that sets back pretty far in. Woods are still littered with acorns up here. See if the 360 buck hammer can live up to its name.

Made a big loop. Lots of tracks, digging in the snow for beech nuts and beds. Plenty of Buck tracks. Looks like the deer are congregating 400yds off my property, hence why they don't arive till 9PM. We'll I'm set up for the last hour by my deep woods stand. Time will tell if any antlers walk by.

Upper 50s seems so warm now. This place is a real pain to get to. A lot of buck sign in here over about 5 acres. Gonna get dark real fast with this fog and thermals dropping into this valley.

Just had a 3” spike running several does around and grunting the whole time. Who knows, maybe all that noise will bring in a real buck.

Would love to see some movement in here, heck even a squirrel at this point.

Hmm. Tennessee's gun season rolls around this Saturday. Woods will be full of orange. Might try to talk the wife into letting me go. She is concerned about having the landing gear worn out over the years. One WMA about 20 minutes from home. Or...see if my grandson has time off and can go.

Should be a 9 point and a 6” spike came by with their noses to the ground.

The fog and heavier rain moved in.So I had to leave forty five minutes early. I'm not getting caught a mile and a half deep in that type of terrain. I buzzed the tree line when I left and found four big scrapes full of c*** in it.Not twenty yards from where I was set up.
